We hardly think about it but it takes a lot of energy to keep the human race alive.  The sun, our main source of energy, gives off about 126 trillion horsepower constantly providing us warmth and light.

We sometimes forget how extremely rare our planet's atmosphere is.  Despite centuries of technological advancements, we have yet to find another planet as balanced and as rich as ours is to support life. 

It is not because we are entitled to our place in the solar system but it is only by divine grace that we enjoy the earth in all its fullness.  This fact is something worth thinking about.

"...from His fullness we have all received, grace upon grace." John 1:16

A Grace-filled Life

Who wouldn't want a life full of blessing and favor?  Here are some clues from the Good Book on attaining this...

Where can we find the source of grace and what should we have to receive it?  (Look in Ephesians 2:8)

What type of people receive grace? (James 4:6)

What do people need to avoid for a grace-filled life? Jonah, a messenger to God's people has an answer in Jonah 2:8

How must we use the grace that was given to us? (Check 2 Corinthians 9:8)

*Personal activity:  Write down all the things in your life that you have been freely given without your asking.  It will open your eyes to the grace that has already been abounding in your life.

*Look up other passages on Grace using this website for a word study.

A study involving more than 2,000 people showed that those who volunteered their time for community organizations were 2.5 times less likely to die from any disease compared to those who didn't volunteer.

Volunteering is good for you!  This joy of helping others boosts your immune system, increases motivation and energy.
